MEMORANDUM
Memo To: Dr. Kriner Cash, Superintendent, BPS
From: Philip Rumore, President, BTF
Date: March 20, 2020
Subject: Concerns/Suggestions
As we continue to work together, we are forwarding additional concerns and suggestions from teachers.
Suggestions:
- Have a procedure for students/parents to pick up laptops and student materials. Parents only had one days notice.
- Have a number/email address where teachers can volunteer to assist, e.g.: type of assistance/day(s)/time/place. Some teachers are willing to help out at their own or close by schools.
Concerns:
- Most materials for three (3) weeks - how will they be corrected?
- When?
- While appreciative of additional support of Say Yes, teachers are concerned with not being consulted and of the services that will be provided by Say Yes. Many teachers are already making personal contacts with families.
- Many families cannot access Schoology.
- Special Education/Pupil Personnel – only notified late Monday, March 16th, to prepare packets.
- Teachers being told to include Administrators in their Schoology and their “Class Dojo” (School #80 and others).
- Teachers being told to log into “Work Place” or they will be charged with a sick day by Sarah Edwards.
Please know that some of your administrators are causing very bad feelings and anger as their negative and destructive actions are spread via facebook.
